今日、川崎から息子家族がやってきた。
正月の混雑するときを避けての里帰りだ。
もちろん1歳と3か月の孫も一緒だ。
昨年秋に会って以来の再開で、その成長ぶりが見られた。
子供の成長は早い。まだ、言葉こそままならないが、その動きたるや早いし、足元おぼつかないので危険だし、とても目を離せない。
家には彼にとって危険なものがいっぱいある。それらすべてに触っては納得し、離れてはまた触る、の繰り返しだ。
危ないと思って取り上げるが、それもじっと見ていて、時には駄々をこね、時には見過ごしたり、その戦術たるや大人顔負けだ。
でも、疲れるが楽しい。
やはり孫だからかわいいし、愛おしい。
親のときに注いだ子供への愛情以上のものを感じる。
子供を育てているときは、自分も精一杯だし、毎日毎日が初めてのことだし、ゆとりがなかった。
今は、違う。多少の余裕ができたのか、子供に向き合ったときとは異なって、肩の力も降りて孫と楽しんでいるというか、遊んでいるという感じで、全然違うのだ。
一刻のことだけど、この時間、瞬間を大切にしたいと思う。
3泊4日の小旅行だけど、精一杯楽しんで、今後のエネルギーの源にしたい。毎日会えるわけではないので、いや、会えないからこそ会えた時を楽しみたいと思う。
目の中に入れてもかわいい、というが本当にそうだ。
66歳にして初めて孫の可愛さを感じているのである。
